Thornthwaite is a small village in the Lake District with views of Skiddaw and the cottages are close to the bustling market town of Keswick. This tranquil area is a perfect retreat for walking or cycling a paradise for dog walkers. There are walks for everyday of the week! This area is famous not only for its lakes forests and mountains but also for its associations with the early 19th century poetry and writings of William Wordsworth. The properties offer you the perfect base to discover and explore the whole of the Lake District and all its attractions. Within easy reach you will find Newlands Adventure Centre The Lakes Distillery and Go Ape Tree Top Adventures. Outside: shared grounds to the front of the property perfect for alfresco dining. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. 2 well-behaved dogs welcome. Location: pub and shops 1 mile away. Arrival: 4pm. The accommodation is a beautifully restored ground floor cottage offering TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/diner: with TV DVD and electric fire. Kitchen: well-equipped with electric oven and hob microwave and fridge/freezer.
