The old post box set into the entrance pillar to the property is a reminder that the cottage was once the village post office. Chastleton is a great base from which to explore everything the Cotswolds has to offer: The village is home to the Grade 1 listed manor house Chastleton House owned by the National Trust. The historic market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Norton are only 4 miles away. Bourton-on-the-Water Chipping Camden Broadway and Burford are all within easy reach. Within Chastleton there is horse riding and a Iron Age hill fort. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: on the first floor 1 double and 1 twin (can be joined to form a king-size on request) Bathroom: bath with shower attachment and WC. On the ground floor: 1 double bedroom accessed down 3 steps via the kitchen with wooden floor and built-in oak wardrobes exposed stone wall and patio doors out onto the garden. Kitchen: leads off the lounge with modern electric cooker/hob with hood over microwave dishwasher and fridge. Outside: Greenhouse with freezer. Large lawned garden benefitting from views of Chastleton House and the countryside patio area BBQ pond orchard feature well and garden furniture. Amenities: roadside parking.
